What Utsivo is
Utsivo, run by [company name, to be added before launch], lets families make a gift list for an occasion, collect cash gifts by UPI, take RSVPs and keep a gift book. By using it you agree to these terms.
Money goes directly between people
- Cash gifts are paid by the guest's own UPI app to the family's UPI ID. We are not a payment service and never hold, move or refund money.
- Store gifts are bought from the store; the order, delivery, returns and refunds are between the guest and the store.
- When a guest says "I've paid" or "I bought it", that is their own statement. The family confirms it when the money or parcel arrives.
Families' responsibilities
- Give a UPI ID and name that are really yours, and check them with the ₹1 test.
- Use the registry only for a real occasion, and don't mislead guests.
- Keep your phone and sign-in codes to yourself. Changes to a UPI ID on a live registry are held for safety.
Guests' responsibilities
Pay only people you know. If a pool or registry looks wrong, use "Report" and contact the family directly.
Things you must not do
- Collect money under false pretences, impersonate someone, or use another person's UPI ID.
- Post content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone's rights.
- Try to break, overload or misuse the service.
Content and takedowns
You keep the rights to what you upload and let us show it to run your registry. We may pause or remove a registry that breaks these terms or the law, or that we're asked to remove by a lawful order, and we'll tell the family why when we can.
Store links and earnings
We may earn a commission when a guest buys through a store link. It never changes the price. See the Affiliate disclosure.
Limits of our responsibility
We provide the service as it is and work to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available. We are not responsible for payments between people, for store orders, or for losses that come from someone else's misuse, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
Taxes
Gifts can have tax effects (for example, gifts from people who aren't relatives above a yearly limit). We can't give tax advice; please ask a tax adviser.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Account → Delete account.
Law and disputes
